マイクとジョンがクリスマスとお正月について会話しています。
[M].Hi John,what are your plans for Christmas this year?
こんにちは、ジョン。今年のクリスマスの予定は何なの？
[J].Hi Mike,we are going to my in-laws on Christmas Eve and then we are having most of the family over at our place for lunch on Christmas Day.What are your plans Mike?
やあ、マイク、クリスマスイブは妻の方の家族を訪問するよ。それから、クリスマスの日は、ランチのためにほとんどの親類がうちに来るよ。マイクの予定は？

Christmas Eve24日のことですね。（eveはeveningなので、夜のことを指している場合が多いかもしれません。）
[M].We are going to my Parents for Christmas lunch.Actually,we will stay the night there and spend Boxing day with them too!
僕らは、クリスマスランチのために両親の家にいくよ。一晩泊まって、ボクシングデーも彼らと過ごす予定だよ。
向こうでは、クリスマス（25日）に家族が集ってランチを楽しむ人が多いです。

ボクシング・デーはイギリスやオーストラリア、ニュージーランドなどで聞く言葉です。クリスマスの次の日、26日を指します。

[J].I think we will stay in,the kids like to watch the fireworks and countdown on the television.My wife and I will probably crack open a nice bottle of champagne just before midnight and toast the new year in!.
